Kacey's Legacy Youth Hub Now Open for Bookings
Denis Law Legacy Trust (DLLT) is delighted to announce that Kacey's Legacy Youth Hub in Torry is now open for bookings, offering a flexible and inclusive community space alongside its programme of free activities for young people.
Officially opened in September, the new hub provides a positive place for local young people to come together, build friendships, develop new skills and access positive opportunities.
Located next to Cruyff Court Neale Cooper, the facility has been developed as part of Denis Law Legacy Trust's ongoing commitment to creating safe spaces where young people feel supported, valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
Kacey's Legacy Youth Hub was created in collaboration with Denis Law Legacy Trust and Kacey Seivwright Defibrillator's. The Hub is dedicated to the loving memory of Kacey Seivwright, who sadly passed away in 2021. Through this partnership, Kacey's legacy will continue to make a positive difference in the lives of young people, providing a safe, welcoming space where they can connect, develop new skills and access opportunities within their community.
The opening of Kacey's Legacy Youth Hub marks an important milestone in Denis Law Legacy Trust's work to support and inspire young people across Aberdeen through free sport, education, creative and wellbeing opportunities.
Designed as a safe, welcoming and versatile venue, the Hub is based at Cruyff Court Neale Cooper, Tullos Playing Fields. The multi-purpose space has been created to support a wide range of activities, including workshops, meetings, training sessions, events, mentoring, one-to-one support and small group activities. It is also ideally suited to learning, skills development and wellbeing programmes, while providing an accessible environment for community projects, collaboration and partnership working.
Available for both one-off bookings and regular sessions, the Hub is free to access, helping to remove barriers and ensure community organisations can make the most of the facility. Accommodating up to 70 people standing, with a smaller seated capacity, the space can be adapted to suit a variety of needs and group sizes.
Schools, youth projects, community groups and businesses are all encouraged to make use of the facility, whether for training, meetings, community engagement activities or special events. The flexible layout and welcoming atmosphere make it an ideal space for bringing people together, fostering creativity and supporting positive outcomes across the community.
The creation of Kacey's Legacy Youth Hub would not have been possible without the incredible support of organisations, partners and individuals from across Aberdeen. Denis Law Legacy Trust extends its sincere thanks to everyone who contributed through financial donations, in-kind support, professional expertise and countless hours of hard work to help bring this vision to life.
This Hub is a powerful example of what can be achieved when a community comes together with a shared commitment to supporting young people. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, has played a vital role in creating a lasting legacy and a safe, welcoming space that will benefit generations of young people for years to come.
