Inaugural DLLT Golf Outing becomes instant success

Denis Law Legacy Trust held their inaugural Golf Outing last week in stunning Aberdeenshire settings.

Deeside Golf Club hosted the event and helped to facilitate a fantastic day which raised important funds for the children’s charity.

Not even a very brief shower could dampen spirits as 28 teams took on the beautiful 18-hole Haughton Course.

First to tee-off was a team made up of former Aberdeen FC players and it was them who remained clubhouse leaders for much of the day.

It wasn’t until into the evening when SVS Greenseekers toppled them before last to tee off, The Weapons of Grass Destruction from ESERV, claimed a dramatic victory.

Awards were also given out for best team name, longest drive and nearest to the pin.

Thanks go to all of the participating teams, the Deeside Golf Club and CNR International for their very generous sponsorship.

The event has helped to raise a significant sum for Denis Law Legacy Trust which will directly impact young people from around Aberdeen.

It also caps a busy period of events following the latest successful Denis Law Legacy Trust Community Festival which enabled nine days of free family sport and activities. Read more about the various events here.

Some course images from the day can be viewed below while all of the participating teams are featured in the gallery here. Thanks to Andy Hall and Brian Doyle for their fantastic photography.

See you all in 2023 for next year’s DLLT Golf Outing!
