From Wee Wanderers to Mighty Striders: Kiltwalk Success for DLLT

A BIG HUGE thank you to all our amazing walkers who took on the Kiltwalk on Sunday 7th June!

Despite the miles, changing weather and sore feet, every walker crossed the finish line with determination, passion and a smile on their face.

We had new walkers join our DLLT team, with some welcoming the Wee Wander including little Georgie aged 5 who proudly completed the walk with her Grandad Keith who is one of our Trustees. Congratulations Georgie and Keith!

Kody, Murron, Blake and Aiden from DLLT’s Granite City Speaks rose to the 18-mile challenge from Banchory to Duthie Park with no complaints, proving what a strong team effort can achieve! Well done!

Josh, Oliver and Archie made it across the finish line proudly holding their medals after completing the walk from Banchory winding their way alongside the River Dee before ending at the finish line - a brilliant effort from start to finish.

A big thank you to the Shepherd and Wedderburn LLP team for taking on the 18-mile Mighty Stride for a second year, sporting a touch of tartan as they set off from Bellfield Park in Banchory to Aberdeen. We loved having you stride with us again this year! Peter Smith from Shepherd and Wedderburn LLP said, “The Denis Law Legacy Trust is a fantastic local charity. The Sheperd and Wedderburn team were delighted to, once again, participate in the Aberdeen Kilt Walk to raise funds to help the Trust continue its brilliant work, supporting and encouraging young people to fulfil their potential.”

Our Development Manager, Hannah, led Kelsey and friends off to an early start at Bellfield Park and made sure there was plenty of entertainment to match the miles! An excellent achievement for all!

Together, our team of 21 Kiltwalkers raised a fantastic amount through their sponsors to help us to continue delivering meaningful support across our local communities.

We are incredibly grateful to each and every one of you, as well as those who donated, cheered from the sidelines and supported the team along the way. Your generosity, commitment and enthusiasm have made a real difference.
