Quiz Night Raises Money for local Children’s Charity

Over £5,000 was raised at the Denis Law Legacy Trust quiz night on Friday evening.

The fundraising event, held at Inn at the Park, featured eight rounds of general knowledge with the teams locked in a competitive tussle for the top spot.

The evening got off to a flyer with live music and McWilliam Aberdeen kindly providing a BBQ buffet, which was the perfect fuel for the quiz ahead!

Halliburton’s team ‘I wish this microphone was a big fat foaming pint’ emerged victorious with ‘Ich Habe Keine idee’ and ‘three duks’ coming in a respectable second and third place. Also coming out on top with the prize for best name was Subsea 7’s team, ‘Snow White and the Subsea 7 Dwarves’.

The night also featured a raffle and live auction that, combined with the generosity of all who attended, made the evening a big success. The money raised will go towards supporting Denis Law Legacy Trust’s range of programmes and activities.

The Trust would like to sincerely thank everyone who helped to organise the event. From Bob Bain of Hall Morrice and his whole team, to Dave Macdermid, McWilliam Aberdeen, and Inn at the Park for their hospitality. A special thank you also to everyone who attended and the generous businesses who donated raffle and auction prizes.
