A Streetsport volunteer is taking on the momentous challenge of running a 64 mile route, compromising of 47 summits and 28,000 feet of ascent, in under 24 hours.

Volunteers and staff of the Denis Law Legacy Trust came together to run the Balmoral 10k last weekend and raised over £550 in the process.

Three old pals are preparing to trek 65 miles through the Highlands this month as they fundraise for the Denis Law Legacy Trust.

The Denis Law Legacy Trust’s flagship programme, Streetsport, included a special nutrition event at their regular Friday session at Northfield’s Bill Burr astro pitch.

A piano which is beautifully ordained in Denis Law detailed vinyl has been donated to Orchard Brae Primary School.

A documentary which chronicles the life, career and legacy of Denis Law premiered on Manchester United TV this month. Produced by John Gubba, the film first aired on Thursday 21st February before being repeated on Sunday 24th to coincide with the Lawman’s 79th birthday.

In the final months of 2018 we welcomed Glenda into the Streetsport team after she’d approached us about doing some volunteering. Glenda, from Peru, was keen to get involved with an organisation that shared her beliefs and interests before returning home in January.

Robert Gordon University’s (RGU) Streetsport initiative has this week been given the prestigious Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the equivalent of an MBE for voluntary groups, is the highest award given to local volunteer groups across the UK to recognise outstanding work in their communities.

Scotland’s first ever Cruyff Court has opened in Aberdeen. The previous Catherine Street Court was a run-down and under-used urban space within the city centre. It has now been transformed into a hi-tech, all-weather play and activity area for families in the surrounding community and the wider Aberdeen area.
