DLLT Golf Outing Drives Support for Children's Charity

Local children’s charity, Denis Law Legacy Trust held their annual Golf Outing last week at the popular, Deeside Golf Club.

28 teams took on the 18-hole Haughton Course, many armed with mulligans and, a new addition to this year’s outing, 3-foot pieces of string.

The day raised important funds for Denis Law Legacy Trust to continue their mission to support and empower young people to thrive within their communities.

First to tee-off was MDL Ltd followed by Denis Law Legacy Trust ambassador Willie Miller’s team made up of former Aberdeen FC players.

However, it was The Weapons of Grass Destruction from ESERV, who once again stormed to the top of the leaderboard, claiming victory. History repeated itself again later in the day with last year’s runners-up, the SVS Greenseekers sweeping into second place. AJD Ambassadors took a more than respectable third place.

Prizes were also given out for best team name, longest drive and nearest to the pin.

Thanks to all of the teams who took part, the Deeside Golf Club and CNR International for their very generous sponsorship.

The successful event helped to raise a significant sum for Denis Law Legacy Trust which will directly impact young people from disadvantaged communities in Aberdeen.

The event makes up a key part of a packed summer of events following the latest successful Denis Law Legacy Trust Community Festival and Community Fun Days in both Torry and Northfield. Read more about the various events here.

Thanks to Andy Hall and Annie Dyer for their fantastic photography. You can view team photos and images of the prize giving here.
