A Night of Generosity at DLLT Annual Fundraising Dinner 2023

The Denis Law Legacy Trust Annual Fundraising Dinner 2023 was another great success thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, partners and guests. It was a fantastic evening with an amazing amount raised for a good cause.

Alex Fleming was back once again as the evening’s compere introducing speakers from the charity and special guests at The Marcliffe Hotel.

An especially proud moment for the charity came from Granite City Speaks members Lewis and Chloe, who took to the stage to speak about the important role of the youth forum and how being a part of the group has positively impacted their lives.

There was also plenty of entertainment on offer with special guest speaker, former Manchester United and Celtic FC player, Brian McClair and comedian Ray Bradshaw. Aberdeen FC legends Willie Miller and Jim Leighton were also in attendance on the night.

Not to be forgotten, the night had a variety of auctions and raffles to take part in. The Silent Auction was for the first time ever held online generating plenty of excitement and bids, Alex Fleming was on top form hosting the Live Auction and the night saw the launch of the limited edition Denis Law football with one guest from each table emerging a winner of the unique ball.

Our sincere thanks go to all of our sponsors, table hosts, attendees and the generous businesses who donated prizes. Thanks must also go to the team behind the scenes, The Marcliffe Hotel staff and the Granite City Events team for their excellent work and cooperation in making the night run like clockwork.

The fantastic amount of money raised will go a long way in helping to develop the charity’s programmes, campaigns and initiatives which provide a positive platform for young people to thrive within their communities.

We are looking forward to our next Annual Fundraising Dinner in 2024. Until then, our sincere thanks to everyone who made the night such a success. It makes a significant difference to disadvantaged young people with all of the proceeds from the Annual Fundraising Dinner going towards the provision of youth-led sport and activity in Aberdeen’s most deprived communities.
