WAYS TO HELP
Join our team
Meet new friends, gain skills and make a positive difference to the lives of young people within your community.
We have a flexible approach to volunteering so if you can fit us in, we can fit you in. Be it once a week or once a month, whatever you can manage we are more than happy to accommodate. We appreciate that everyone’s lives are busy and that family, education and work take priority. This is why you don’t have to commit to certain days or even set hours of volunteering that other organisations ask of you.
In return for your help, we run regular volunteer training and social activities throughout the year. This year we've covered Personal Safety, Conflict Resolution and put volunteers through the Emergency First Aid At Work qualification. Our socials have seen us have a go at surfing, snowboarding and curling, among other activities.
We also support volunteers working towards Saltire Awards or other professional qualifications where possible.
Volunteer — Streetsport
Streetsport provides young people across Aberdeen City with the opportunity to play sport for free in a fun and safe environment. We are looking for volunteers with an interest in sport and a willingness to motivate young people to help at these sessions.
Working as part of a team, you will assist with organising and participating in activities while building relationships with the young people that attend the sessions.
Streetsport sessions run every week night in various locations across Aberdeen. View our current session times and locations here. Transport can be provided to and from sessions if required.
Volunteer — Streetdance
Streetdance provides young people across Aberdeen City the opportunity to learn dance for free in a fun and safe environment. We are looking for volunteers with a passion for dance to help at these sessions.
Working with the Streetdance teacher, you will assist with dance and choreography while building relationships with the young people that attend the sessions.
Streetdance sessions currently run at Tullos Primary School on a Monday and Tuesday evening.
