PROGRAMME

Positive Destinations

Positive Destinations is an employability programme open to anyone aged 16-19 years and living within the Northfield or Torry areas of Aberdeen, regardless of educational background or employment status.

Everyone’s Positive Destination is different. For some it’s college or university, for others it’s full time employment. It’s all about achieving what YOU want to do in life.

Our two year programme is tailored to your desired career path, providing relevant support and training to strengthen your employability in the area you want to work in.

"I was at college but not sure if it was what I wanted to do. Being part of the Positive Destination programme helped me realise that college wasn't for me, and now I'm  developing a new career path towards working with young people" - Kayleigh, 17

Working with you, we will create a bespoke programme of opportunities and training to help you achieve your Positive Destination and get a step closer to where you want to be. We provide support with CVs, interviews and application forms along with industry experience and insight. We also offer all participants the opportunity to obtain First Aid and Child Protection courses, along with their Theory Driving Test.

Not sure what you want to do? We will start by helping you identify your interests, skills and strengths to shape your Positive Destination.

In exchange for volunteering with us, or an organisation that benefits your community, our Positive Destinations programme will develop your confidence, communication skills and team work, help to enhance your CV and improve your employability prospects.
